Position Overview:

The Woodfield Youth Development Specialist is responsible for providing direct supervision, engagement and mentoring to juveniles within Woodfield Secure Detention Facility. They are expected to monitor movements and interactions of juveniles and uphold security procedures in order to ensure a safe and therapeutic culture.

Provide direct supervision, engagement and mentoring to juveniles within Woodfield Secure Detention Facility. Monitor movements and interactions of juveniles. Uphold security procedures in order to ensure a safe and therapeutic culture.

Positions Qualifications:

A high School diploma or GED equivalency. A Bachelors Degree. Minimum of two years experience working with youth preferred. Detention or Security Experience helpful. Good written & verbal skills. Has demonstrated an understanding of The Children’s Village Values as presented in pre-employment training. Ability to put into practice all techniques Safe Crisis Management (as taught in pre-employment training) and demonstrated respect for client’s rights and safety. Ability to demonstrate counseling techniques.
