Job Overview: LCG is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Sr. Computer Security System Specialist Endpoint Security Engineer. This position is crucial for the continuation and enhancement of the client security initiative, focused on transforming and optimizing vulnerability management (VM) processes across NIH. The successful candidate will join the security client Tiger Team to lead and support critical endpoint security efforts, leveraging tools such as BigFix, JAMF, and SCCM.

Key Responsibilities

· Establish and manage effective O&M processes and procedures for the client security program.

· Oversee requirements management, code management/version control, and project management using the SAFe framework.

· Implement test management, training, and release/change control management procedures.

· Develop necessary FISMA artifacts supporting client security site, including SSP, e-Auth, and FIPS-199.

· Officially launch and maintain the client security site, including managing back-end tools such as Jira and O365 Planner for incident/service requests.

· Re-establish interconnectivity with the NIH PowerBI Vulnerability Management Dashboard Security Center.

· Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to NIH use and adoption rates.

· Lead the exploration of the client cybersecurity VM landscape to identify and act on opportunities.

· Provide expert assistance to client in patch management best practices, configuration management, and tool migration/upgrades.

· Contribute to the client repository by uploading high-priority fixlets and communicating/publishing articles on CVEs, KEVs, and BOD/EDs.

· Review Trans-NIH VM data to prioritize and assist NIH requiring additional guidance and support.

· Conduct technical discussions and presentations on various security tools and techniques, including BigFix, JAMF, SCCM, registry edits, GPOs, and system scripts.

· Track and measure the speed to resolution of VM problems and the effectiveness of uploaded solutions.

· Provide additional surge support in SharePoint and PowerBI development and enterprise patch management expertise if required.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are a plus.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in endpoint security, vulnerability management, and system administration, with demonstrated expertise in BigFix, JAMF, and SCCM.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.

· Proficiency in managing and configuring BigFix, JAMF, and SCCM.

· Strong knowledge of vulnerability management processes and best practices.

· Experience with FISMA compliance and developing related artifacts.

· Familiarity with PowerBI for data visualization and reporting.

· Experience with project management frameworks, such as SAFe.

Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $111,750 to $155,700 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The Target Salary is $134,100 The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
