Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller to join our finance team. The Assistant Controller will support the Controller in overseeing the accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and assisting with financial reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • General Ledger: Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Internal Controls: Ensure the implementation and monitoring of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors and assist in the preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax filings and other statutory requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting department.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
