The Role
The Director of Sales is responsible for overseeing territory sales teams and driving customer acquisition and territory growth. The Director of Sales will implement strategies to scale Billd’s territory presence throughout the US and recruit, train, develop and motivate a team of [remote] Territory Managers.
What You’ll Do
- Be responsible for customer acquisition numbers and revenue performance for their team
- Recruit, train and manage a team of Territory Managers
- Inspire and motivate their team to hit and exceed sales targets
- Effectively coach and performance manage team members
- Monitor sales activities to ensure that all customer interactions are of the highest quality and sales processes are being followed
- Continuously audit sales pipelines, and forecast to senior management
- Define and measure KPIs and sales quotas for the team
- Support team members, where needed, to close deals and conduct Financial Analysis Meetings with new customers
- Work cross functionally with Credit, Operations, Marketing and Product teams to drive deals and improve upon existing processes
Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales leadership role
- A proven track record of building high performing sales teams
- An ability to manage a large team effectively, while maintaining high levels of motivation and engagement
- Ability to thrive in an environment of high ambiguity and change
- Must have a competitive drive and persevere to consistently achieve excellence and overcome adversity
- Must be a self starter and continuously invest in self development and learning
- Must work with honesty, integrity and respect
