Job Description:

As a Junior Financial Reporting Analyst at Augmentjobs, you will be an integral part of our finance team, responsible for assisting in the preparation and analysis of financial reports. You will work closely with senior analysts and managers to ensure accurate and timely reporting, contribute to financial forecasting, and support various financial projects. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, has a strong understanding of financial principles, and is eager to grow within the financial reporting field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

  • Data Analysis: Analyze financial data and identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations based on findings.

  • Compliance: Ensure financial reports adhere to regulatory requirements and internal controls. Assist in preparing documentation for audits and reviews.

  • Support: Provide support to senior analysts and managers in financial planning and analysis, including budget preparation and variance analysis.

  • Reporting Systems: Maintain and update financial reporting systems and databases. Assist in the implementation and improvement of reporting tools and processes.

  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for financial transactions and reporting processes. Ensure documentation is organized and accessible.

  • Communication: Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information and address reporting-related inquiries.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or a similar role.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial reporting software, and other relevant financial tools. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present financial information clearly and effectively.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications: CPA or CMA certification (or progress toward certification) is a plus.

  • Experience: Familiarity with financial reporting standards such as GAAP or IFRS.
