Position Overview: As a Junior Financial Analyst in Corporate Finance at Augmentjobs, you will support financial planning and analysis activities within our corporate finance team. You will be involved in analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and contributing to strategic decision-making processes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis: Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Identify trends and variances to provide actionable insights.

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts. Assist in preparing financial projections and scenario analysis to aid in strategic planning.

  • Data Management: Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets. Ensure data accuracy and integrity in financial models and reports.

  • Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports for management, highlighting key metrics and performance indicators. Assist in the presentation of financial information to stakeholders.

  • Variance Analysis: Analyze discrepancies between actual financial performance and budgeted figures. Investigate and report on the causes of significant variances.

  • Financial Modelling: Assist in the creation and maintenance of financial models to support business decision-making and strategic planning.

  • Compliance: Ensure financial activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations. Assist in internal and external audits as needed.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to gather financial data and provide support for cross-functional projects and initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in financial analysis or corporate finance. Experience in a similar role or industry is preferred.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful conclusions.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.

  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive working environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation or progress towards these certifications is a plus.

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with corporate finance practices and financial reporting standards.
