Overview:
Augmentjobs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Analyst specializing in Financial Reporting. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial reports, working closely with various departments to analyze and present financial data. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial reporting standards, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP or IFRS.

  • Compliance and Regulation: Ensure all financial reports comply with regulatory requirements, including SEC filings, and stay updated on changes in reporting standards.

  • Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to senior management.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing detailed financial reports and analysis to aid in decision-making.

  • Internal Controls: Evaluate and enhance internal controls related to financial reporting processes, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with accounting, tax, and treasury teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting, and assist in the consolidation of financial statements.

  • Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial reports.

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in financial reporting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.

  • Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior financial analysts, providing training and support to enhance the team's overall capabilities.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CFA certification is highly preferred.

  • Experience: 6 to 10 years of experience in financial reporting, with a strong background in accounting and financial analysis.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in financial reporting software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and advanced Excel skills; experience with financial modeling is a plus.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and SEC reporting requirements.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide clear insights.

  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring that financial reports are error-free and compliant with regulations.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring and guiding junior analysts.

  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Adaptability: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
