Brighton Center, Inc. is a private non-profit community-based organization with the mission to create opportunities for individuals and families to reach self-sufficiency through family support services, education, employment, and leadership.

Purpose:

Home instruction for parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) home visitors offer parents support, training, and materials so they can engage in effective, developmental and fun activities with their children in the comfort of their own homes to prepare their children for kindergarten.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain full caseload while providing home visitation
  • Develop positive communication with parents and encourage parent involvement in the program
  • Implement HIPPY curriculum
  • Document services
  • Provide resources and referrals to families
  • Demonstrate cultural competency and commitment to diversity, racial equity, and inclusion

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of parent-child interaction and child development
  • Flexible schedule to meet the needs of the families
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to drive to home visits
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must speak Spanish or French
