Team Lead for Project Associate I serves as a leader for project quality excellence and staff development at JLG. They serve as an extension of the quality assurance process and enterprise services (Human Resources, Information Technology, Accounting, Operations and Marketing) to support Project Associate I’s.

Responsibilities

  • Continued top tier-execution of daily architectural duties related to assigned project work.
  • Track development of Project Associate I’s project work. Provide bi-weekly technical review of assigned tasks to assure that work is completed in alignment with JLG’s standard deliverables for the scheduled Assembly, Code, and Quality Assurance Reviews. Provide reviewed information to the Director of Production through employee profiles.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Production to establish a continued technical onboarding program for the first six months of employment at JLG to establish a demonstrated required base knowledge of project delivery software including Revit, Rhino, Enscape, etc.
  • Conduct monthly review of staff development with the Director of Production and provide recommendations for continued staff growth, performance plans, and promotions as necessary in alignment with JLG needs.
  • Serve as assigned AXP mentor for assigned Project Associate I staff to ensure that Project Associate I’s are achieving 80% completion of AXP hours within 2 years of employment at JLG. Coordinate with the Director of Production to advocate for staffing assignments in alignment with the AXP development requirements of the Project Associate.
  • Advocate for Project Associate's career journey and establish measurable metrics to obtain the necessary skills and knowledge to grow into their next role or position.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors and Masters degree obtained from NCARB accredited school
  • Minimum 3-5 years of post-graduate experience
  • Expert knowledge of JLG processes and policies, especially related to project delivery
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the quality assurance process
  • Expert knowledge of current building science and applicable codes
  • Negotiation skills with ability to gain individual’s confidence, build trust, hold difficult conversations, and lead a team of professionals
  • Proven strong organizational and planning skills with ability to multitask and prioritize work
