About the Job:

The product manager will lead business-critical efforts focused on product strategy, market analysis and customer engagement. This role requires a deep understanding of battery technology, market trends, and customer needs, as well as the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to drive product development and commercialization.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy and detailed roadmap for Peak's utility-scale sodium-ion battery systems, aligning with the company's vision and market needs.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and customer requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and marketing teams to ensure successful product development, launch, and lifecycle management.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage with key customers and stakeholders to guide Peak's product validation efforts and ensure product-market fit by improving Peak's understanding of how its products are deployed and monetized.
  • Requirements Definition: Define detailed product requirements, specifications, and use cases, translating customer needs into actionable tasks for engineering and design teams.
  • Performance Monitoring: Create, track and analyze product performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  • Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to drive continuous innovation and improvement in our product offerings.
  • Leadership: Provide strategic guidance to Peak's engineering and commercial teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in product management, preferably with a focus on batteries, energy storage or related industries.
  • Technical background in battery energy storage systems, including familiarity with battery chemistries, energy management systems, and grid integration technologies.
  • Experience with market research, competitive analysis, and customer engagement.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of project and requirements management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Passion for renewable energy, sustainability, and driving positive environmental impact through technology innovation.
  • Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
