Restaurant Applications Specialist

Overview of Position:

As a Restaurant Applications specialist, you will be responsible for the overall health, configuration, and support of all restaurant facing enterprise-level applications. Work directly with internal JFC departments and external partners to ensure that the above-store applications align with operational efficiencies and sales goals.  This role will also support the project delivery of IT initiatives. You will be an ambassador to IT.  Mentor, educate, and train others on all the cool stuff IT does and can do.  This role is expected to support current enterprise applications and IT project deliverables.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide exceptional service that results in on-time resolution of IT incidents and service requests following departmental processes and SLAs.
  • Serve as a resource for POS and above store ordering configurations and programming needs.  Utilize additional resources as needed to ensure all POS work is completed in an accurate and timely manner.  This includes but is not limited to price, menu, tax, and item add\deletes, and changes for all above store and in-store applications. 
  • Serve as a resource for NBO needs.  Utilize additional resources as needed to ensure all Menu, Item, and reporting configuration work is completed in an accurate and timely manner. 
  • Maintain and improve knowledgebase to ensure quality solutions are available for the help desk for future support of all technology in the restaurants.
  • Assist in IT project deliverables to ensure on time and on budget delivery, specifically focused on support for new restaurant openings.
  • Monitor data integrity. Working directly with internal JFC departments, Track, research, and correct any anomalies related to menus, pricing, and other data integrity issues.
  • Work with third parties to ensure all technology equipment is purchased, installed, and operational prior to restaurant turnover to operations.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions on specific needs for continual improvement.
  • As needed, travel to new openings nationwide to ensure restaurants are setup with IT standards.
  • Maintain the IT relationship with Franchisees. 

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in an application support role
  • Experience managing enterprise-level applications in a multi-brand restaurant company.
  • Experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting, NCR Back Office (NBO). Aloha Quick Service, Aloha Configuration Center (CFC), Aloha Kitchen, and similar POS environments.
  • Experience supporting online ordering and third-party delivery marketplace menu environments.
  • Ability to problem-solve and work in a remote environment
  • Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks under pressure and deadlines
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent time management and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage and develop relationships with internal departments and outside vendors
  • Ability to keep up with industry IT standards and present technology trends
  • Knowledge of PCI security standards
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Technical knowledge of Point-of-Sale hardware and networking
  • Technical background with an ability to give instructions to a non-technical audience
  • Local and national travel required
  • Physical ability to lift 50lbs
