Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced QA Team Leader to join our growing Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing the QA testing of full-stack software development platforms, including backend APIs, web, and mobile applications. Experience with automated testing and performance load testing is also desired. You will be leading a team of internal QA analysts and an offshore testing team.

This role requires exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality products to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of product testers and automated test developers.
  • Interface with Product, UX Design, and Development teams to manage the testing of new features and products.
  • Analyze system requirements and technical specifications, and work with your team to create thorough test plans and automated tests that cover all possible use cases and scenarios.
  • Conduct end-to-end testing of features, focusing on functionality, performance, stability, and compatibility with legacy and third-party systems and partners.
  • Develop test cases and action items based on critical thinking about end-user interactions and accessibility requirements.
  • Manage the development of automated UX test cases using Selenium, Appium, and LambdaTest for web and mobile.
  • Concurrently manage multiple testing projects and ensure that test plans are being executed and are on track according to schedules.
  • Monitor updates to ADA accessibility compliance laws and guidelines, ensuring adherence to the latest standards.
  • Troubleshoot product defects, identify root causes, and report clear and concise software defects with reproducible steps.
  • Provide recommendations for enhancements and modifications to improve product quality and accessibility.
  • Mentor team members and participate in cross-training sessions to share knowledge and expertise within the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a QA Lead managing a team, with a focus on testing for web-based, mobile devices and APIs.
  • Clear communicator (written and verbal) with the ability to write test plans, test cases, and communicate effectively with your team, developers, and stakeholders.
  • Experience working with an offshore team is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of programming and relational database concepts, HTML, CSS, and web-based browser functionality.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools and cloud-based mobile device tools. Azure ADO, LambdaTest, and Postman are preferred.
  • Experience with creating reporting and tracking dashboards.
  • Education in Interaction Design, Human Factors, Universal Design, or equivalent experience is desired.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL queries and software development experience preferred.
