As we grow nationwide, we have a great opportunity for a STAFF ENGINEER (IT). The role is an extension of our Managed Services remote support desk based in Atlanta, GA. This team member will be acting as the local hands, eyes, escalation point and knowledge keeper working exclusively from the client site in Athens, GA (Watkinsville, GA area).
Your Job:
- System administration, troubleshooting, and projects in conjunction with the Atlanta based NOC and support team
- Relaying technical network knowledge to understand and troubleshoot incidents
- Providing assistance concerning Remote Desktop Services, Fortinet, networking, and physical layer maintenance of telecom rooms
- Providing exceptional customer service and technical expertise in deskside environments
- Providing day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware
- Determining root causes of incidents and documenting resolutions
- Making recommendations and defining action plans
- Maintain client documentation
- Maintain security and privacy levels regarding customer data and corporate policies
- Mentoring and providing guidance to peers by sharing best practice knowledge and lessons learned
You are Good at:

You Have:
- 2+ years currently working in a core technical area
- 2-3+ years in an IT department
- High School diploma required; College degree preferred
- Certifications in Windows, Dell, HP, and Fortinet topologies is highly desired
- Experience with the following technologies: Microsoft RDS, Microsoft Windows Client, basic networking topologies
