Please contact us today to discuss this opportunity Bay Area based health care provider seeks a Sr Payroll Compliance Analyst on a 24-month contract duration. The ideal candidate will have experience as a payroll tax auditor or a labor law paralegal. This role is heavily involved with auditing and using Excel, and requires all candidates to take an Excel test as part of the interview process. This role will serves as the SME for the Payroll department by understanding Federal, State, and local ordinance laws, general payroll practices, company payroll practices, retirement plan provisions, and collective bargaining agreements. The position will assist with the design and implementation of payroll policies and processes, and internal control compliance and oversight as the company in-sources their payroll function.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance, or similar.
  • 7+ years of payroll experience including experience with 401(k) and 403(b) audits, reconciliation and processing.
  • Experience with Federal, State, and local ordinance laws, general payroll practices, retirement plan provisions, and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Strong Excel, including vlookups and pivots.
