JOB SUMMARY

Internship is a temporary assignment responsible for working with stakeholders and the Business Development team to accomplish core projects. Provided excellent analytical and communication skills to support the sales process experience. Interns will be introduced to Logistics/Supply Chain business scope. With the opportunity to be introduced to Import/Export/Ocean and Air functions as well as sales and our customer base. Ideally this internship will be at our Chicagoland locations (Elk Grove Village and Itasca). Successful internships could lead to permanent Full-Time positions within our sales function.

Duties & Functions

Essential:

• Perform market, competitor, and industry vertical analysis to support sales efforts.

• Conduct client research and proposals to prepare sales team for upcoming meetings.

• Create content for social media and other marketing channels, especially LinkedIn.

• Audit and update client profiles and details in CRM and ERP system.

• Cold calling potential customers.

• Effectively communicates relevant sales and marketing related information.

• Perform other duties as requested by management.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education & Experience:

• 4-year BS degree student Junior or Senior level.

• Ability to learn to use CRM software.

• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 0365 software suite.

Physical requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; frequently required to walk, stand, talk, hear, reach with hands and arms and occasionally required to sit.

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

• Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
