Role Overview:

EMC is seeking a Thought Leader in Automation and AI to join our team in Des Moines. This role requires a dynamic individual who will lead and influence the strategic direction of automation and artificial intelligence technologies within the insurance sector. The ideal candidate will bring a broad range of technology experience beyond QA, encompassing data, cloud, and more, with a strong understanding of insurance systems. While experience with Guidewire is not a hard requirement, familiarity with insurance systems and technology will be a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership in Automation and AI: Drive the development and implementation of innovative automation and AI strategies tailored to the insurance industry.
  • Technology Integration: Oversee the integration of automation and AI technologies with existing insurance systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Consulting and Strategy: Provide expert guidance on the use of automation and AI in insurance, helping clients navigate and adopt cutting-edge technologies.
  • Cross-Technology Expertise: Apply a broad range of technological knowledge, including data management, cloud computing, and systems integration, to develop comprehensive solutions.
  • Innovation and Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of emerging trends in automation, AI, and insurance technology, and advocate for new ideas and approaches.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and clients to understand their needs, provide insights, and deliver effective solutions.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed documentation and reports on project progress, technology assessments, and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in leading automation and AI initiatives within the insurance sector.
    • Strong background in technology beyond QA, including data management, cloud computing, and system integration.
    • Experience with insurance systems is highly desirable; Guidewire experience is a strong indicator but not mandatory.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Expertise in automation tools and AI technologies relevant to the insurance industry.
    • Solid understanding of data management and cloud technologies.
    • Familiarity with insurance-specific technologies and systems.
  • Consulting and Communication:
    • Excellent consulting skills with a demonstrated ability to engage with clients and deliver strategic technology solutions.
    • Strong communication skills for presenting complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant technologies are a plus.
  • Location:
    • This role requires onsite presence in Des Moines, IA.
