Open Position: Electrification Product Manager (On-Site) Glendale Heights, IL


The Product Manager Electrification is part of the Advanced System Teams. The Advanced System Teams mission is to develop and implement innovative vehicle systems and advanced technology solutions that solves our customer greatest challenges by utilizing innovative and reliable hydraulic, electronic, control and fluid conditioning solutions optimized for the mobile market.


You will make an impact in this role by:

  • Developing the E-mobility product/solution strategy with key business partners.
  • Developing marketing content around our E-mobility solutions.
  • Using technical product selection tools to select products based on customer requirements/RFQs.
  • Generating system/product proposals to mobile OEMs, collaborating with engineering teams as needed.
  • Leading all US Division product strategies for E-Mobility.
  • Collaborating globally with E-mobility teams on product and market strategies and their tactical implementation.
  • Leading divisions regarding product ionization of developed E-mobility products and systems.
  • Providing Voice of Customer to our Product Divisions for new product development.
  • Representing with customers and accompany Sales Managers to customer locations selling our technology and advanced systems.
  • Provide support to application engineering and field sales (Distributor and RSM).
  • Handle quotations and price strategies and prepare price lists.
  • Responsible for distributor, RSM and customer service training initiatives.
  • Recommend new products/modifications.
  • Recommend and monitor stock levels.
  • Develop and update product literature and new product publicity.
  • Coordinate trade shows.
  • Prepare and present product presentations, reports and plans.
  • Manages product and customer-related projects.
  • Other duties assigned.


Key skills and attributes include:

  • Travel up-to 25% of the time (domestic and international).
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in solutions where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to use Database software, Project Management software, Spreadsheet and Word Processing.
  • Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions.
  • Production Management: Develops project plans; Coordinates plans; Communicates changes and progress.
  • Customer Service: Responds promptly to customer needs; Responds to requests for service and assistance.
  • Self-Starter and Motivator.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Able to develop effective relationships with distributors, regional sales managers and customers.
  • 3-5 years related industrial experience.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
  • Oral Communication: Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
  • Written Communication: Writes clearly and informatively.


Requirements


To be considered for the Product Manager Electrification role, you must have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • Experience with electrification
