This position is remote but willingness to travel in January and for quarterly tax time is necessary.

A day in the life as a Tax Specialist:

Your first six weeks are dedicated to training That's right, you will be jumping into our team and learning the ins and outs so that you're comfortable in our processes before we turn you loose. Our training is a mixture of hands-on one-on-one learning with other team members as well as videos and courses within our learning management system used to gauge your knowledge. As your knowledge grows, so will your responsibilities.

Within a few weeks you will be working with the team through the tax process for our clients. That means handling everything from tax notices to preparing and running reports within the system for our clients.

Before long you'll be a pro and be able to help guide the team through the monthly, quarterly and year end tax process. With a solid understanding of the system and our client's business you will be able to help them identify needs that will make the tax processing go seamless for years to come.

What you need to be qualified for this job

To be qualified, you must consider yourself a "techy-person" with an eagerness to learn, strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized and on task. You'll be engaging with our clients daily, so it is vital that you are able to understand the platform we provide them and speak to its capabilities with a customer service mindset. Many clients see our service as an extension of their HR department so the ability to build a working relationship via email, phone calls and visits is key. Our environment is very fast-paced, and deadline driven, so you must be able to work under pressure.
