The Project Manager / Customer Relationship Lead serves as our primary client point of contact. Through gaining a thorough understanding of our clients’ needs and effectively coordinating internal efforts, they ensure Microbac is positioned to deliver timely and accurate test results. The position itself requires a high amount of client interaction, data entry and organization, the ability to relay technical knowledge to non-technical individuals, and the ability to effectively coordinate the activities of cross-functional teams in a deadline driven work environment.



Essential Functions:

  • Gain a thorough understanding of client needs; act as the liaison between the client, outside sales representatives, and our laboratory staff teams; Troubleshoot and head off problems, preventing them from adversely affecting the client.
  • Manage the logistics of client projects, ensuring client needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner, while ensuring the quality of work completed and reported meets or exceeds pre-determined quality standards.
  • Submitting orders for sample media (bottles, etc) and coordinating field sampling events, and courier sample pickups.
  • Maintain and grow overall client satisfaction through collaboratively working with all stakeholders to ensure timely deliverables.
  • Coordinate communications and actions between internal departments/functions.
  • Monitor the progress of projects and delegate work assignments as necessary.
  • Communicate technical data to the laboratory’s senior leadership and to clients.
  • Review analytical reports for completeness and accuracy prior to releasing to the client.
  • Generate and review final reports that will be sent to the client.
  • Provide specification review to assist sales reps with determining technical fit, appropriate product codes, suggested pricing, turnaround time, and sample volume required to meet project needs.
  • Suggests new service possibilities in alignment with our business goals based on on-going evaluations of client needs.
  • Assist the sales team in assessing potential projects, estimating cost and time requirements of projects for the creation of project bids.
  • Creating, reviewing final invoices and submit to the client.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in a science related field
  • Previous experience working in an environmental or food testing laboratory
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both laboratory staff and non-technical individuals.
  • Exceptional ability to work with others to troubleshoot and solve problems and delegate tasks when necessary
  • Familiarity with the regulatory testing requirements within the industry (i.e.; FDA).
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, organize and lead projects.
  • Ability to demonstrate an observable commitment to service excellence and brand standards.
