Position Summary:

IT Technical Manager a/k/a Computer Information System (CIS) Manager, will provide the Bank with a competitive edge by aligning CIS with our business operations. Duties include overseeing all computer technology matters and managing IT support teams and will assist in the implementation of computer network security protocols.

We are looking for an innovative and dedicated Technical Manager to optimize the performance of the Bank’s computer information systems. Duties will include collaborating with the IT Team and users to enhance system performance and completing projects on time.

Technical Manager should demonstrate extensive experience in CIS development and maintenance. In addition to keeping pace with advancements in the field and promoting technological innovation at the Bank.

Essential Functions:

  1. Performing analyses on CIS efficiency and integration.
  2. Reporting to Management on CIS development, implementation, and progress.
  3. Collaborating with development teams and departments, as well as incorporating user feedback.
  4. Ensuring CIS innovation and implementation.
  5. Managing support teams and evaluating performance metrics.
  6. Overseeing CIS user-testing and adjustments.
  7. Ensuring that products and services are delivered on time and within budget.
  8. Access the costs and benefits of new projects, justify funding on projects to top executives
  9. Managing software and hardware installations and upgrades.
  10. Maintaining computer network infrastructure and ensuring network security.
  11. Negotiate with vendors to get the highest level of service for the Bank’s technology
  12. Assist with hiring and training new IT staff.
  13. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Job Type:

This is a full-time, exempt position. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Travel:

Travel is expected for this position.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This position uses office equipment such as computers, phones, copy and fax machines, calculators, filing cabinets and printers.

Physical Demands:

This position will be responsible for writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 50 pounds), driving, carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling and reaching.

Mental Demands:

The incumbent in this position must be able to accommodate to reading documents or instruments, detailed work, problem solving, customer contact, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, multiple concurrent tasks and constant interruptions.

Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer information systems, management information systems, or similar.
  • A master's degree in technology management or business management would be advantageous.
  • Extensive experience in technical management, preferably in the financial industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of CIS innovation and integration.
  • Ability to manage IT support teams, as well as assist in hiring and training new IT staff.
  • Extensive experience in collaborating with CIS development teams and users.
  • Ability to diagnose faults, oversee CIS user-testing, and implement required changes.
  • Ensuring optimal hardware and software functionality, as well as network security.
  • Ability to keep up with CIS advancements.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
