Job Title: Barista - Frozen Drink Attendant

Department: Food and Beverage

Reports to: Concessions Manager

Location: Leu Gardens

Position Type: Seasonal Part-time

Job Summary: The Barista-Frozen Drink Attendant prepares and serves frozen drinks, coffee, and other beverages to guests in a friendly and efficient manner. This role involves operating beverage machines, ensuring product quality, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests and take orders for frozen drinks, coffee, and other beverages.
  • Prepare and serve beverages following company portion standards to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Operate beverage machines, including frozen drink machines and coffee makers.
  • Check and validate proper ID for serving alcoholic beverages, if applicable.
  • Accept payments from guests, ensuring accuracy and operating POS systems.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to sanitation standards.
  • Memorize the product menu and provide information to guests about beverage options.
  • Assist in setting up, cleaning, and breaking down the beverage area at the beginning and end of shifts.
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
  • Ensure all work areas and equipment are cleaned and properly stored at the end of shifts.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner that generates a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, percentages) related to POS transactions and reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with beverage preparation equipment and techniques.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a barista or in a beverage service role.
  • Knowledge of beverage preparation and presentation standards.
  • Experience with POS systems and cash handling.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Rate of Pay: $17.00 per hour plus tips. This position typically works a 35-hour work week.
