Director, Product Management/ Marketing

Alida Biosciences is seeking for a marketing lead with technical background in genomics who has the passion to shape a young company’s portfolio and market entry. We are currently looking for an experienced marketing leader who will be responsible for driving our product roadmap and the global commercial marketing to introduce Alida Bio’s core technology to academic, translational and clinical research markets. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of the next inflection point in genomics enabled by Alida Bio’s sequencing technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Research and outline market opportunities to guide investment and prioritization decisions for product and partnership roadmap.
  • Lead development, planning and execution of multi-year product strategy based on deep customer insights and market dynamics.
  • Develop & lead go-to-market strategy and execution for both new and on market product offerings: pricing, positioning & messaging, segmentation, sales enablement, customer communications and partner-specific promotion.
  • Responsible for developing and executing product demand plan to drive product growth and meet key revenue targets. Expected to track and monitor the business and report on key metrics.
  • Responsible for creation of marketing collateral and sales tools, including but not limited to application notes, technical notes, cost calculators and datasheets. Partnering with creative marketing agencies as necessary.
  • Serve as product expert and champion with the ability to engage key customers and partners on product parameters and capabilities.
  • Understand key business drivers, based on data and analytics, market trends and direct interaction with commercial team and customers. Performs landscape analysis understanding competition and potential partners.
  • Champion voice of customers, draft product requirements and collaborates with product development through lifecycle.
  • Cultivates relationships with KOLs and early adopters, and interfaces with sales to support large/strategic opportunities.

Requirements

  • PhD in genomics or a related field paired with significant business leadership experience, or Bachelors degree in genomics or a related field plus MBA.
  • Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, PhD or MBA preferred, but not required.
  • 10+ years of product management, business development, and/or partnership management experience in life sciences industry required.
  • Strong scientific and technical acumen in genomics and NGS (next generation sequencing) is a must.
  • Strategic thinker able to translate strategic plans into action. Confidence navigating nascent markets and ability to identify growth opportunities.
  • Experience in conducting financial planning, modeling, pricing and analysis and championing the business case with Senior Management.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into marketing messages and content that resonates with key customers and thought leaders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills both written and verbal, with experience effectively influencing, communicating and networking at all levels within an organization.
  • Flexibility to travel.
