As the Director of Product Technology Operations, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic vision of our product/technology OKRs and ensuring operational excellence across the product development lifecycle. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate high-level business goals into actionable product/technology plans, optimize product/technology operations, and deliver insights that inform executive decision-making. This role is critical in ensuring that our product & technology organization is not only executing effectively but also evolving strategically to meet the demands of a dynamic market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Vision and Alignment:
    • Work alongside product and technology leadership to develop and communicate the product/technology strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
    • Work with executive leadership to define long-term product/technology objectives, identify growth opportunities, and facilitate the prioritization of initiatives that drive competitive advantage.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Oversee the implementation of product/technology operations frameworks "Operating Model", ensuring that product/technology teams are equipped with the tools, processes, and support needed to execute efficiently.
    • Develop and refine product/technology development processes to reduce bottlenecks, enhance collaboration, and improve product/technology productivity and delivery.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making:
    • Utilize data analytics to inform product/technology decisions, track key performance metrics, and identify areas for optimization.
    • Implement dashboards, scorecards, and other measurement systems to provide real-time visibility into product/technology performance and organizational health.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership:
    • Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure cohesive product/technology delivery and alignment across the organization.
    • Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement within the product/technology organization.
  • Problem Solving:
    • Identify and address operational inefficiencies that hinder product/technology development and launch cycles.
    • Solve complex, high-impact problems related to product-market fit, customer adoption, and scalability.
    • Address challenges related to cross-functional alignment, ensuring that all teams are working towards common goals.

Key Deliverables:

  • Comprehensive Product Strategy Document: A detailed and actionable product/technology strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Operational Framework and Processes: A set of standardized operational processes, tools, and frameworks to streamline product/technology development and delivery.
  • Product Performance Dashboards and Scorecards: Real-time dashboards and scorecards that track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product/technology performance, operational efficiency, and organizational health.
  • Quarterly and Annual Product Reviews: Regularly scheduled reviews that assess product/technology performance against goals, identify areas for improvement, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Initiatives: Initiatives designed to enhance collaboration between product/technology, engineering, design, marketing, and other key functions.
  • Optimization and Efficiency Improvements: Identification and implementation of process improvements that reduce time-to-market, enhance product/technology quality, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Executive-Level Reports and Insights: Regularly delivered reports that provide insights into product/technology strategy, operational health, and key business metrics.
  • Organizational Health and Culture Initiatives: Initiatives to foster a high-performing, outcome-focused product/technology culture.
  • Product Launches and Go-to-Market Practices: Successful planning and execution of product/technology launches, ensuring alignment with marketing, sales, and customer support.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a senior product operations or product management role.
  • Strong understanding of product and software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies.
  • Experience with product data analytics and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of customer success and customer experience best practices.
