We are looking for a lead data scientist who can serve in a managerial position dealing with C-Suite stakeholders. Client's maturity in ML/Data Science is below average and they are looking for a A++ candidate who can build the entire vertical from scratch. Preferably prior health and human services experience and actuarial sciences.


Requirements:

List of Key Responsibilities for the Position:
Build Data Science Vertical from Scratch:

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for establishing the Data Science function.
  • Define the vision, goals, and roadmap for Data Science initiatives.
  • Identify and acquire the necessary tools, technologies, and infrastructure.

Assist in RFPs:

  • Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to contribute to Request for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Provide technical expertise and insights to support proposal development.
  • Ensure the proposed solutions align with Data Science capabilities and client needs.

Engage Client Stakeholders through Storytelling:

  • Communicate complex data insights and analysis effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Use storytelling techniques to present data-driven narratives that influence decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.

Build and Manage Data Science Team for the Entire Organization:

  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing Data Science team.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
  • Oversee project management, ensuring timely and successful delivery of Data Science projects across the organization.
