JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a driven and creative Digital Marketing and SEO Intern to join our team under the supervision of the Vice President of Operations. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, focusing on website development, SEO, and social media management. This internship offers a unique chance to contribute to our marketing efforts and enhance your skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Website Development & SEO:
    • Participate in website development and launch with a local SEO agency and key members of the Playabilities digital marketing team.
    • Once the website is launched, assist in updating and maintaining the company website using WordPress.
    • Develop ongoing training materials for users to reference when building new pages for blogs and other content.
    • Develop an ongoing plan to optimize website content for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility and rankings.
    • Conduct keyword research and implement SEO strategies to drive organic traffic in perpetuity.
    • Ensure Google Analytics reporting is set up for ongoing website development and report on traffic, conversions, and other information as requested.
  • Social Media Management & Content Planning:
    • Manage and schedule posts for the company's social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
    • Develop and execute a social media content calendar to ensure consistent and timely posts.
    • Create engaging content, including graphics, videos, and written posts.
    • Monitor social media trends and analytics to improve engagement and reach.
    • Respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Brand Standards:
    • Assist in establishing and maintaining brand standards and guidelines.
    • Ensure all marketing materials are consistent with the company’s brand identity.
    • Collaborate with the design team to create brand-compliant visuals and content.
Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION:
  • Currently in the 4th year of an undergraduate program or enrolled in a master’s program in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field at an accredited university.
EXPERIENCE:
  • No experience required.
  • Preferred:
    • Familiarity with content management systems.
    • Understanding of WordPress platform.
    • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
    • Knowledge of Google Analytics and other web analytics tools.
    • Basic HTML/CSS skills.

SKILLS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/KNOWLEDGE:
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies and techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of website development, particularly with WordPress, and SEO best practices.
  • Must be efficient with computers, windows operating system, and Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Creative, curious & proactive.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to leverage multiple components on a computer to maximize productivity.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Duties are performed in a professional and deadline-oriented environment in an office setting, as well as within the clinic, providing direct treatment to clients.
