Reports To:                       Director of Affiliate Relations



Job Summary:

The Affiliate Relations Coordinator will support the Director of Affiliate Relations by fostering relationships to ensure that the Affiliate fully leverages GNWKCF's services while meeting the objectives of all initiatives, as well as with marketing and promotional communications, to enhance the brand recognition of the Greater Northwest Kansas Community Foundation and its Affiliates.


Occasional travel required for affiliate and donor meetings, trainings and conferences, as needed.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • No supervisory responsibilities.


Duties/Responsibilities:

Affiliate Relations

  • Serve as primary liaison and point of contact between Affiliates and GNWKCF.
  • Develop and maintain trust and positive working relationships with Affiliate staff and board members.
  • Track initiatives for each Affiliate, monitoring progress and ensuring full and timely participation.
  • Update GNWKCF staff on Affiliate news, initiatives, changes, etc.
  • Ensure Affiliates are in compliance with GNWKCF policy and procedures.
  • Attend Affiliate meetings as necessary.
  • Develop, plan and conduct Affiliate board trainings and orientations to educate Affiliate staff and board members on GNWKCF services, initiatives, and community foundation best practices.
  • Assist with Affiliate and GNWKCF board member and staff onboarding on appropriate software in coordination with appropriate departments.
  • Assist with continuing education opportunities for each Affiliate board and staff in coordination with appropriate departments.
  • Facilitate and coordinate Affiliate networking opportunities.
  • Work with Affiliate to develop and implement strategic planning goals.
  • Ensure that relationships with Affiliates and their donors, including fund advisors and major contributors, are sustained and that they receive excellent service.

Marketing and Promotional Communications

  • Help develop tools and concepts to enhance public awareness of GNWKCF, affiliated foundations, partner organizations, funds and programs.
  • Assist with managing GNWKCF’s social media presence to promote the foundation’s impact, share partner-related initiatives, awarded grants and scholarships and events (locally and regionally).
  • Assist with maintaining upkeep on GNWKCF’s website content.
  • Oversee all Affiliate websites and social media sites to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with GNWKCF’s annual report; work with appropriate staff and affiliated foundations on content and stories.
  • Assist with creation of and updating marketing materials in the Marketing Toolbox (event-specific flyers, brochures, posters, ads, forms).
  • Assist with creating marketing strategies that improve communication with Affiliates.
  • Assist with creation custom annual holiday cards and coordinate mailing.


Performs other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
