Product Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the strategy for building and managing new federal government products, keeping in mind the operational constraints and advantages of a small business.
- Manage a new product development team, creating effective workflows and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Define our product development SDLC in alignment with NIST 800-218.
- Conduct thorough market and competitive analysis to identify and understand needs within the federal sector.
- Engage with federal clients to ensure product solutions are perfectly aligned with government requirements and expectations.
- Craft and prioritize detailed product roadmaps and feature definitions, turning strategic visions into actionable plans.
- Manage the entire product lifecycle from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget constraints, and scope.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless product development and launch.
- Utilize feedback and performance metrics post-launch to refine product offerings and enhance future development efforts.
Experience and Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and/or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of experience in product management, preferably with experience in developing products for the federal market.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully build and lead a product team from the ground up.
- Project Management expertise resulting in successfully managing product development within budgetary and schedule constraints.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of motivating teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and a track record of working in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Frequently remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time looking at a computer screen.
- Continuous verbal and written communication with others to exchange information.
- Continuous repetitive movements that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Comprehension - Must continuously be able to understand direction and adhere to established procedures.
- Organization - Must continuously be able to gather and classify information.
- Reasoning and Decision Making - Must continuously use logic to analyze and interpret information and prioritize.
