OVERVIEW


We are excited to invite a seasoned Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our dynamic HR team in Denver, Colorado. Reporting directly to the Director of HR Business Partners, this role is vital to developing and executing HR strategies that align with business goals and meet the needs of your assigned client group. You'll play a key role in providing expert HR support within a unionized environment, anticipating business challenges, and driving discussions that support people planning and implementation.


 


What You Will Be Doing


Partnering for Success:



  • Build strong relationships with business operations leaders, understanding their priorities, and delivering tailored HR solutions.
  • Collaborate with leaders to foster effective teams and ensure team and individual goals are aligned with the company’s objectives.
  • Lead and manage annual HR programs, including performance reviews, compensation planning, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to inform recommendations and support decision-making processes.
  • Lead New Hire Orientation and Onboarding of new employees to ensure a positive experience.

Training & Compliance:



  • Partner with the Learning & Development Team to design and implement training programs for management and employees.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment standards and human rights legislation.
  • Communicate and enforce company policies and procedures across your client group.
  • Provide expert guidance on performance management and progressive discipline issues.
  • Conduct investigations, develop action plans, and ensure follow-through on decisions.
  • Offer advice on claims management and support return-to-work programs for employees.

Driving Talent Management:



  • Work closely with the broader HR team to drive talent management initiatives, playing an essential role in designing and implementing strategic programs that elevate employee skills and foster success.
  • Lead efforts to boost employee engagement and retention, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Other duties/ special projects as assigned.

 


What You Bring to the Table:



  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field, with a combination of experience and education considered.
  • 7 to 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years as an HR Business Partner or Advisor.
  • Deep knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, compensation, and benefits.
  • Adaptability, collaboration, and a strong sense of motivation with minimal supervision.
  • Business acumen paired with exceptional coaching, consulting, and analytical skills.
  • Innovative thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a knack for building strong relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Familiarity in working with UKG (UltiPro) is considered as an asset.
  • Knowledge of Department of Labor COBRA regulations is considered as an asset.
  • Ability to travel within Colorado and the USA; a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
  • A current passport for occasional travel to Canada.

Salary Range:



  • US$87,000 - US$95,000
