- 11:00pm-7:30am M-F rotating wknd and holidays
About the Role
In this role, the Radiographer OR II performs diagnostic imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring supervision of technical detail. Performs technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and innovative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis.
What you'll do
- Provides assistance to the Radiologist during radiographic procedures to expedite patient care and quality of life.
- Radiographer II as dedicated OR technologist provides assistance to the OR physicians and are liaisons to the department. Radiographer II (OR) specialize in OR procedures and maintain the proficiency of the equipment utilized
- Provides leadership guidance to the radiographer I, as well as mentorship. Assesses, plans, provides intervention, and evaluates care for each patient based on their ages to avoid unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Prepares equipment and supplies necessary for radiographic procedures and performs daily tasks to ensure patient safety.
Here is what you'll need
Minimum Required:
- Associate degree
- Specific Degree(s): AAS in Radiologic Technology
- 1-2 year's of previous job-related experience
- OR experience
Licensure/Certifications
Required:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
- CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) from American Heart Association ONLY
- Registered Radiographic Technologist within 6 months of hire
