Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new relationships within the electrical contractor and electrical distributor markets with a focus on Central Indiana
  • Identify and follow up on opportunities in the commercial and industrial spaces
  • Provide lighting and control solutions tailored to each application and/or client need
  • Conduct regular sales calls and lunch & learns with clients and visiting manufacturer sales managers
  • Offer service and support to clients throughout the design and construction process
  • Be available to attend factory training locally, virtually, or at a particular factory
  • Any additional responsibilities assigned by management

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of outside sales experience
  • 3+ years of experience in the lighting and/or construction industry
  • Familiarity with the construction cycle
  • Must be self-starter, with a strong desire to succeed
  • Must be extremely organized, detail oriented, and able to effectively follow through with tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects and tasks, prioritizing effectively
  • Strong teamwork capabilities
  • A professional and respectful disposition
  • Ability to travel locally a minimum of 3 days a week

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in the lighting and/or construction industry.
  • Knowledge and familiarity of the Central Indiana electrical/construction market
