What you will do:


The Product Specialist will act as an internal expert on assigned products, providing comprehensive product knowledge, competitive insights, and market trends. The candidate will support sales team, develop effective marketing materials, and ensure exceptional service through collaboration with various teams. 

  • Serve as an expert of assigned products and asset classes. This includes understanding all aspects of the products, such as history, structure, strengths and weaknesses, and sales trends.
  • Develop knowledge of the competitive landscape and peer groups. Stay current on market trends and be able to clearly articulate what differentiates our products from the competition.
  • Provide regular updates and product content for market commentaries and RFPs.
  • Utilize performance, risk analysis tools and consultant databases to articulate drivers of performance, portfolio positioning and the current market environment.
  • Build and maintain marketing materials in conjunction with Marketing to support assigned products by creating actionable, value-added insights on products.
  • Develop relationships with the investment teams, client portfolio managers and other departments.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in the financial services industry focusing on product management or related experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and investment concepts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg, FactSet and Morningstar is preferred.
