Job Description

Job Summary

The Patient Services Coordinator at Unifour Pain Treatment Center is responsible for managing various administrative tasks related to scheduling MRIs, arranging insurance authorizations, coordinating patient access, and providing support to various departments within the healthcare facility.

 

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Frye Regional Medical Center, located in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina is a 355-bed acute care hospital, 81-bed Behavioral Health facility and more than 70 primary and specialty care providers.

 

Essential Functions

  • Oversees the process of obtaining authorization for ordered MRIs
  • Assists patients with payments through MD Save and coordinate activation with eh appropriate personnel
  • Schedule MRIs and coordinate appointments
  • Organize daily medical records for HIM processing
  • Review charges in Host, then submit charges
  • Emails daily charge review file to be uploaded to the charge recon folder for Review Integrity team
  • Records the number of daily scheduled, no show, cancelled, rescheduled and total seen appointments
  • Manages, updates daily UPTC ROI Forms, Non Fluro and Pain Case spreadsheets on the G: drive
  • Manages all outgoing referrals
  • Acts as a liaise with medical offices to ensure the patients have scheduled appointments and the appropriate documentation has been received
  • Obtains VA and Workers Comp authorizations for patients awaiting appointments
  • Medical Records
  • As back up when needed, schedules appointments, enters procedures and injections in Auth-Net
  • Serves as back up to the Rep Admit Team Lead
