Hourly Rate: $27.55
Job Summary:
The Command Center Operator is responsible for preparing employee routing in conjunction with schedules and customer needs as well as dispatching, monitoring and recording necessary data on a daily/weekly and monthly basis in accordance with customer requirements. This position will work very closely with our 580 Ops group, customers and all internal support departments including Sales, Customer Service and Finance to ensure that all customer needs are met to BGS' high standards of achievement. This position functions in an armed environment. This position requires the enforcement of rules to protect the premises and property of Brink's and its customers and in armored vehicles in transit, as well as the safety of persons on the premises of Brink's and its customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, transmit and receive information over radio and telephone to detect emergencies, exchange information or provide dispatch services.
- Coordinate and dispatch special routes and additional assignments of new accounts to established runs.
- Identify problems or potential problem areas and recommend solutions.
- Direct, regulate and prioritize the movement of traffic in parking lot, loading ramps and receiving docks. Allocate parking as required for service and delivery vehicles; maintain access to driveways and dock areas and facilitate the timely removal of vehicles as appropriate.
- Plans delivery by organizing truck loads and routing schedules.
- Coordinates delivery and pickup with the customer and sales department.
- Oversees the loading of shipments onto trailers or trucks.
- Oversees the preparation of delivery documents for truckers.
- Communicate effectively and clearly and possess strong business acumen skills related to the logistics of transporting valuable shipments.
- Maintain appropriate records, including but not limited to guide sheets, employee attendance, and accident reports in partnership with the Operations and Executive Operations Management team.
- Manage all paperwork, internal administrative processes and all related processes/policies endemic to the shipping/logistics process in accordance with Brinks policy and all general security guidelines.
- Work closely with all vault operations as necessary and manage the fulfillment of customer special requests as necessary and communicate the same to all needed partners.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in dispatch, routing, transportation/logistics and/or be able to demonstrate success in previously held positions such as but not limited to armed Messenger/Air Courier Messenger in a similar environment.
- Minimum of 3 years working with Microsoft Office and logistics software
- Be at least 21 years of age
- A valid firearms permit or ability to pass applicable firearms licensing requirements.
- A valid guard card or ability to obtain a guard card or any other required licenses
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs on a regular and consistent basis.
- Must be flexible with scheduled hours
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an armored car driver
- Knowledge of route analysis and logistics
- Bachelor's Degree

- Ambitious, enthusiastic and well-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Fast paced, high energy level and able to juggle priorities
