Role Description: Carrier Sales Representative

We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Carrier Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with carriers to ensure the timely and efficient movement of freight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and onboard new carriers to expand the company's network and capacity.
  • Negotiate rates and contract terms with carriers to maximize profitability while ensuring competitive pricing for customers.
  • Coordinate shipment schedules and resolve any transportation issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate closely with the operations team to optimize logistics and meet customer expectations.
  • Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and other technology tools to track shipments and provide real-time updates to customers and carriers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term partnerships with carriers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS) and other logistics software.
