Job Description: We are seeking a talented and motivated Cybersecurity & Privacy Associate to join their dynamic team in Denver. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity and privacy law, with experience advising clients on regulatory compliance, risk management, incident response, and data protection strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Counsel clients on a wide range of cybersecurity and privacy matters, including compliance with federal, state, and international regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and related laws.
  • Assist clients in developing and implementing effective data protection policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Provide guidance on cybersecurity best practices, emerging threats, and industry standards.
  • Represent clients in cybersecurity and privacy-related investigations, enforcement actions, and litigation matters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT professionals, risk management, and compliance personnel, to address cybersecurity and privacy concerns.
  • Stay informed about evolving regulatory requirements, industry trends, and emerging technologies in cybersecurity and privacy.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in Denver and in good standing.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience practicing cybersecurity and privacy law at a reputable law firm or in-house legal department.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients on cybersecurity and privacy matters.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
