ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a Controller for a growing advertising services company. This position would provide financial planning/forecasting, budget, cost analysis, and management functions. This would be a great opportunity for someone with accounting experience, specifically in job costing, who is looking to grow their career

  • Prepare financial reports, analysis and management of the monthly close process.
  • Manage and motive the accounting team, managing day-to-day accounting operations of A/R, A/P, Payroll, and revenue reporting. Research and resolve accounting issues.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and complete monthly and annual client reporting.
  • Develop and document key accounting policies and ensure compliance with the key controls over financial reporting.
  • Assist senior leadership in developing the annual operating and financial budgets, perform regular P&L analysis, update projections monthly, and provide other ad hoc analysis.
  • Work closely with the support teams to ensure compliance with Company standards.
  • Oversee the production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement.
  • Review Balance Sheet reconciliations in a timely manner; identify needed actions to ensure accuracy.
  • Utilize analytical tools and information systems to identify negative expense trends and recommend corrective action.
  • Proactive management of working capital/cash flow requirements, including reporting
  • Supervise administrative and HR personnel.
  • Establish a strong internal communication process for the Accounting department to ensure a two-way information flow with Operations and other support teams.
  • Act as business partner to operational units through the provision of financial support, information requests and participation in team meetings.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFCATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance or related degree, CPA certification a plus.
  • 5-10 years of progressive experience in managing accounting operations/staff, the monthly close process, budgeting, cost accounting, financial reporting and analysis, contract management, internal controls, audit, or related experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel and strong analytical and organizational skills essential.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced, highly client-focused environment.
  • Able to demonstrate strong organizational skills.
  • Self-motivator and fact finder
