As the Staffing Coordinator/Educator (LVN) or (RN) at Accel at Willow Bend in Plano, TX you will serve as the primary contact for all staffing functions at the facility. You will be a part of a multi-disciplinary team that is recognized for their achievements and contributions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Staffing for all nursing personnel (RN, LPN, CMA, CNAs)
  • Process applications for all positions
  • Schedule and conduct interviews with qualified applicants/candidates
  • Complete new hire reference checks, license/certification verifications
  • Review staffing routinely and adjust based on census
  • Conduct clinical portion of the new hire orientation
  • Conduct drug testing of all new hires
  • Maintain attendance records, excused/unexcused absences
  • Set up, track and log attendance for all State mandated In-services and In-services as required by Administrator and DON
  • Annual Proficiency Testing for Certified Nurse Aides
  • May Participate in assessment and evaluation of nursing staff
  • Maintain copies and track nurse and nurse aide licenses
  • Track, audit and administer TB tests, Flu Shots, etc. for Residents and Employees
Job Requirements
  • Current and active LVN or RN license in the state of Texas is required.
  • Previous experience in a nursing home or home health setting providing care to geriatric-age patients
  • Previous experience as a staffing coordinator
  • Previous scheduling experience required; KRONOS experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed
  • Strong written and verbal skills required
