Client Details

Our client is a multidisciplinary construction manangement company with a strong presence in California. With offices throughout the state, they specialize in K-12, higher education, hospitality, government/civic, retail, healthcare, among others.

Description

  • Ensure compliance with established safety standards and maintain all necessary documentation.
  • Develop and manage the project budget for assigned projects.
  • Collaborate on and create pre-construction RFP packages.
  • Conduct project meetings, set milestones, and prepare monthly reports for owners.
  • Establish and manage job processes, including RFIs, submittals, and pay applications; approve pay applications and negotiate subcontractor change orders.
  • Oversee project scheduling, quality control, and logistics.
  • Efficiently manage the project closeout process.
  • Engage with new and existing clients to understand their needs and explain how these needs can be addressed by available services.
  • Supervise support roles such as assistant project managers, administrative assistants, MEP managers, and safety team members.
  • Work closely with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the project lifecycle.

Profile

  • High school diploma required; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business from an accredited institution is strongly preferred.
  • Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
  • Proven experience in project management, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with project-specific software systems such as Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, and JD Edwards.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting construction drawings and updating project-related documents.
  • Ability to organize resources effectively, including personnel, tools, and time, to meet tight deadlines and achieve project goals.
  • Understanding of current market conditions, pricing conventions, and industry trends.
