Product Manager II
ST Engineering iDirect is a global leader in satellite communications (satcom) providing technology and solutions that enable its customers to expand their business, differentiate their services and optimize their satcom networks. Our business provides innovation focused on solving satellite's most critical economic and technology challenges, and expands a shared commitment to shaping the future of how the world connects. With your talent and energy paired with our vision and technical leadership, the most fulfilling work of your career is waiting for you at ST Engineering iDirect the sky is truly the limit
The Product Manager is one half of a team (with a Product Owner) responsible for defining new product feature enhancements, planning and directing activities to ensure the timely development and delivery of reliable and efficient solutions to business requirements, and developing acceptance criteria to validate that the resulting product meets initial requirements. This position is primarily focused on the market, sales, customer, feature definition and forecasting side of the product management organization. They define the product to fit the market need, forecast anticipated revenue, act as the customer's proxy, accept a product from product owners as the final step in delivery and adjudicate bug queues both to prioritize and to ensure they are not unsupported features. Great product managers can come from a variety of background, but they tend more often to be of a technical background with marketing focused MBAs.
The satellite industry is continuing to evolve with higher throughput satellites with dynamic payloads in the GEO, MEO, and LEO orbits. This once relatively insular industry is also undergoing convergence with the terrestrial telecom space. The new generation of products will be increasingly standard-based and software and cloud driven. ST Engineering iDirect continues its market leadership with new developments in its portfolio of virtualized software systems and high-performance appliances to drive the industry forward. Technology focus will include cloud-enabled architecture, platform security, multi-orbit operations, MEF and 5G standard compliance and end-to-end service orchestration.
Responsibilities:
Initiate and sustain productive relationships with identified customers and their sales, marketing, product management and solution delivery organizations.
Coordinate with iDirect Sales and Customer Support organizations to ensure consistent, positive, and knowledgeable representation of the company and its activities.
Responsible for evaluating and prioritizing backlog of features, enhancements and bugs fixes based on business, customer, and strategic value.
Serve as customer proxy with internal stakeholders (e.g. Product Owners, Engineering, Sales), balancing needs of customer with iDirect business requirements.
Management of process for evaluating all new product/feature/solutions requests.
Gather and analyze data required to develop business requirements required for business case creation in support of request.
Develop and deliver comprehensive business cases (market need, feature analysis, customer identification and financial forecasting).
Running business case through comprehensive Decision Tree process.

Responsible for delivering a complete system to the company.
Responsible for delivering finished product (including documentation, adequate testing, appropriate functional and performance capabilities) as co-defined with Product Owner.
Responsible for the definition and execution of go-to-market strategy for new products or feature along with sales, product marketing, supply chain, trade compliance, training, services, and etc.
Responsible for the entire life cycle of a product or software from the ideation to the end-of-support.
Qualifications:
