Siegfried's Acceleration Hub is the latest addition to the Siegfried network. Located in Grafton (WI), we provide comprehensive support to customers in from early phase pre-clinical and clinical development, through scale up and validation up to and including commercial manufacturing of Drug Substances.

Within this context, we are currently looking to fill the newly created position of Project Engineer to support our Head of Maintenance and Engineering in all necessary CAPEX projects to allow the doubling of our production capacity in the next two years.

Your role

  • Lead capital improvement projects from inception through construction, commissioning, and start-up, ensuring compliance with engineering and cGMP standards.
  • Develop and manage Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs) to secure project funding, adhering to corporate guidelines and procedures.
  • Oversee project scope, budget, documentation, and scheduling, coordinating with internal teams and external contractors for equipment upgrades and modifications.
  • Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams, troubleshooting and resolving equipment and process-related challenges.
  • Conduct equipment qualification and validation activities, including protocol development and SOP creation for new and existing equipment.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the capital request process, working closely with the Engineering Manager on annual and long-term capital plans.
  • Represent the Engineering department in safety and hazard analysis reviews, and maintain compliance with SHE, SOP, and cGMP standards.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
  • 3–10 years of engineering project management experience, ideally in pharmaceutical manufacturing, fine chemicals or other related engineering disciplines in process’s and application engineering
  • Strong project management skills, with expertise in handling complex, multi-phase projects
  • Familiarity with cGMP standards, process system documentation, and validation practices.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drawing management software; experience with Work Order Maintenance systems (e.g., Blue Mountain) and SAP is a plus.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and Process Safety Management (PSM) is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
