GENERAL SUMMARY

The HR Director will drive a culture of strong leadership and disciplined practices to create an organization focused on continuous learning, delivering improved results, and building/retaining talent to drive growth. This role will provide operational and strategic Human Resource support to all regions for Hydraulic Technologies.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the business strategy. Serve as a trusted advisor to the President and executive team on all people-related matters.
  • Talent Acquisition and Management: Lead the talent acquisition process to attract and retain top talent. Oversee employee onboarding, training, and development programs to ensure a high-performing and engaged workforce.
  • Culture Building: Cultivate a progressive, inclusive company culture that promotes employee engagement, development, and retention. Implement initiatives to enhance workplace culture and employee satisfaction.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Oversee the development and implementation of competitive compensation and benefits programs. Ensure alignment of compensation strategies with company goals and industry standards.
  • Operational HR:

-Lead and leverage HR processes within the business such as performance management, salary planning/reward management, succession planning, talent management, etc.

-Leads payroll and Total Rewards/Benefits Administration for the company, ensuring alignment of local practices with global standards and processes.

-Champion a continuous learning approach to enhance organizational capability and foster innovation.

-Hold leaders accountable to ensure their behavior aligns with HT's values. Proactively identify needs and provide recommendations for improving people management practices.

-Work closely with management and employees to improve engagement, relationships, morale, productivity, and retention.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Professional expertise and knowledge to develop HR strategies which will have high impact and drive business success and to resolve complex and challenging HR issues
  • Proven track record of translating HR strategies into actionable programs or plans which deliver results and improve business performance
  • Proven ability to build effective partnerships with leaders and improve leadership capability through coaching, mentoring and constructive challenge
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to attract, motivate and develop a high performing team
  • Demonstrated success in leading complex organization-wide change or transformation programs by building commitment and countering resistance
  • Business acumen and understanding to allow appropriate partnership with client groups
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. Ability to deal effectively with all levels of the organization. Able to collaborate with HR stakeholders and business partners and coach managers
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation covering employment and industrial relations.
  • Problem solving, conflict management and negotiation skills including the ability to successfully resolve performance and disciplinary issues.
  • The capacity to demonstrate personal leadership in attributes such as sense of urgency, determination, customer focus, and the ability to drive initiatives to a conclusion are critical.
  • Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results
  • Knowledge of organizational design principles.
  • Ability to effectively perform in a complex, changing environment while being a positive steward for the global HR team.
  • Results oriented and able to effectively execute in a fast paced environment.
  • Knowledge of M&A processes and integration.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience as a Global HR executive
  • Experience in leading organizations of over 500 people.
  • Having reported to a President or CEO
  • Private Equity Experience
  • Experience in progressive HR leadership roles within a global business environment preferably in an industrial environment such as transportation, manufacturing, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or related field, advance degree preferred
