Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting the Director in providing on site oversight of the planning, staffing, and operations in all departments in order to maintain efficient and effective operations as they relate to patient care delivery
  • Coordinating and scheduling team members to ensure all procedures have appropriate coverage in the organzation
  • Orient applicants and/or new employees on the overall job requirements, policies and work procedures
  • Ensure annual competencies are completed
  • Coordinate the daily activities within all departments
  • Function to work independently and in a cooperative manner in teamwork oriented atmosphere within the department and hospital wide
  • Delegate work duties and responsibilities
  • Administer formal disciplinary action , up to and including discharge
  • Practice established principles of radiation safety and protection
  • Demonstrate appropriate and effective use of all radiographic equipment and computer systems such as RIS, PACS, and other hospital based computer or PC systems
  • Utilize time productively and appropriately with respect to patient flow, room use, stocking of supplies, and clerical duties to increase department efficiency
  • Perform any and all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program, NJ RT license, ARRT certification, ARDMS or CNMT certification or Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Prefer at least two years' experience in a leadership role or equivalent
