Our Client

Our client is a global leader and pioneer in the Energy Transition, with significant holdings in renewable energy, storage, hydrogen and other clean energies around the world. As part of their expansion and capital deployment targets, the firm expanded into North America in the past couple of years and have already invested in over 2GW of renewable generation.

They are currently looking for an Asset Manager to join their growing US team and support the design and implementation of their Asset Management strategy.

The Role

The Asset Manager will be primarily responsible for the full life cycle of Asset Management in North America, and must bring the following competencies:

  • 6+ years experience in energy and renewables investment and asset management/portfolio operations for wind, solar and storage projects. Preference of experience with private utility, tax equity investor, institutional, or private equity investors
  • Experience with preparing and implementing financial and operational controls frameworks and processes in a portfolio management environment.
  • Proficiency and technical awareness in managing and overseeing portfolio activities renewable operating utility scale wind, solar and storage assets.
  • Demonstrable experience in operational and financial turnaround in energy and renewable assets in the US.
  • Demonstrated experience of leading post-acquisition integration and asset optimization (operation, technical, financial).
  • Stakeholder relationship management (cash equity, tax equity investors and managing partners/operators).
  • Proven experience in recent renewable transactions and portfolio management in key US energy markets (namely ERCOT, CAISO, SPP) including tax equity structures and financings
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Ability and experience to lead and manage complex transactions including multiple streams of due diligence when required, negotiations of key transactions documents and third-party capital raising and financings including tax equity.
