Managing Director

The Managing Director - Wealth Management is responsible for leading and coaching a team of advisors, cultivating new client relationships, and enhancing existing client partnerships. This role would also serve as an ambassador in the community, participating in professional associations and organizations in creating community connections and ensuring exceptional client service standards.
This role offers the opportunity to grow a strong client base in a legacy institution, expand within a thriving community, and shape a versatile, supportive team aligned with your vision.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coach and mentor staff and advisors, fostering continuous development and positive team relationships.
- Strong financial and emotional intelligence, seeking to both support and challenge colleagues and hungry to build knowledge and gain fresh perspectives.
- Cultivate a collaborative team environment focused on achieving client service excellence and meeting goals while providing personnel feedback and assisting in performance reviews.
- Coordinates communication across account teams and institutional segments.
- Address diverse financial planning topics, including investments, estate planning, taxes, cash flow, retirement planning, and charitable giving.
- Manage CRM system maintenance for client portfolios, providing additional training across various technical platforms as needed.
- Deliver clear financial presentations to current, new, and prospective clients.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, and external regulations and oversee tax document presentation and distribution to clients.
- Achieve annual growth objectives through strategic asset growth and client acquisition by leveraging relationships with community and business leaders and managing the complexities of each relationship.
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a similar field; post-graduate degree preferred.
- JD, CFA, CPA or CFP not required but preferred
- Minimum 15+ years experience in financial services, client management, and demonstrated sales success. Trust experience is strongly preferred.
- Team-oriented, with unquestionable integrity, credibility, and character with high moral and ethical behavior.
- Proven history of effectively generating leads, prospecting opportunities, networking for introductions and successfully closing deals.
- Ability to articulate a thorough understanding and strategy of holistic financial services, with the ability to coach this to other advisors.
- A skilled communicator with a demonstrated ability for excellent presentation, time management, and organizational abilities, with a robust community presence and a well-established network of personal and business contacts.
