Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA), School-based
? Invo Healthcare is seeking a talented, full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our school-based services team in Mountain House, CA. Invo is the nation's leading provider of behavior, mental health and therapy services in schools, centers and communities.
To qualify, applicants must:
- Have active state-level licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Have experience working in schools or with children is a plus but not required
What to expect from this role?
- Work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, provide sensory integration, motor patterns and awareness of the external environment
- Develop/improve individual's ability to independently perform tasks
- Serve as member of the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) team for students with occupational therapy concerns
- Facilitate goals and objectives per child's educational plan
- Maintain appropriate records
- Work in coordination with school personnel and parents to develop appropriate programs for eligible students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Effectively communicate with teachers, administrators, and parents
- Perform other COTA duties/responsibilities required by the Program and within the scope of licensure and/or certification
- Ensure all services are performed in accordance with state laws and regulations
