Occupational Therapist Assistant

Job Description:
- COTA will provide therapy under OTR supervision.
- COTA contributes to evaluation process by reporting observations, current level of functioning, impairment and gathering of related data.
- Communicates and collaborates with other professionals and families.
- Provides documentation and maintains files of patients.
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

All employees are required to wear a mask. We adhere to strong COVID-19 precautions and clean all therapy rooms after each session.
Education:
- Associate (Preferred)
- Occupational Therapy Assistant License (Required)
Responsibilities
- Read, understand, and follow all plans of care and therapy laid out for patients under your care
- Assist patients with using adaptive equipment, modified exercises, and learning basic life skills
- Assist Occupational Therapists with exercises, communication, and care coordination as needed
- Assemble, clean, and maintain equipment and materials used on a daily basis
- Attend care plans for patients, provide input, and go over patient care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and changes
- Current state licensing for occupational therapy assistance required
- Previous experience working in an occupational therapy setting desired
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management skills
- The ability to make decisions in a high-stress environment
