Description:

Our customer is an operating company under the Exelon umbrella that is a top power distribution provider in the East Coast/Mid Atlantic markets. Just like most Energy Companies, our customer is constantly upgrading their distribution networks for initiatives such as Grid Modernization, Advanced Meter Infrastructure, Distribution Automation, etc. With these and other consistent initiatives occurring, BGE has a specific team called EGT (Emerging Grid Technologies) that is dedicated to support/implement new projects/processes that relate back to these new initiatives/technologies. BGE’s EGT, Smart Meter and Technology (SM&T), and Distribution Automation and Technology (DA&T) teams are currently in need of Project Management support over the a new Exelon initiative called OTSGP (Operational Technology Security Governance Program).

Our customer is currently in the Sanitization phase of their OTSGP compliance roadmap. The team’s immediate need is for a resource to help with project management, process development and writing, and job aid and training development. The purpose of the Sanitization effort is to provide oversight and process creation support as it relates to devices/technologies that are being installed on or removed from the distribution network. For example, if devices are taken off the network and not decommissioned and disposed of properly, they run the risk of that device falling into the wrong hands and the integrity of the network is at risk.

This Project Manager will be responsible for working with the team of engineers to create Standard Operating Procedures and Job Aids as it pertains to the "Sanitization" of these devices. The majority of the work will be created in Microsoft Suite and the resource may also be asked to assist in rolling out the new documents, job aids, and trainings to field employees. In addition, this resource will also have High Level PM duties not limited to tracking/reporting specific milestones, providing database updates, identifying and evaluating metrics, making sure that individual task are maintained to a project schedule, etc.

- This is a hybrid position (See work environment details)

- Need to be self motivated, and have consistent follow up with various teams to ensure action items are completed.

- This is just phase 1 of the OTSGP initiative, there will be additional needs and opportunities as the OTSGP evolves over time. That being said, if resource does well and is a good fit, they can be extended or rolled over into the other projects (That is the goal and intention of hiring manager, but the Sanitization phase will be about 6 months).
