Ecommerce Manager

JOOLA is seeking an experienced and results-driven E-commerce Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts across major retail platforms, including Amazon, Walmart, and Target and a new joint venture company called Upper Rock.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing business relationships, including improving business concepts, practices, and procedures to drive sales growth. Your strategic vision and ability to analyze market trends will be crucial to our success in the competitive retailer landscape.
Reports to: VP of Sales
Location: Rockville, MD (In-office)
Key Responsibilities:
Product Page Management:
- Oversee the creation, optimization, and maintenance of product pages on Ecomm retailer sites.
- Ensure product listings are compelling, accurate, and aligned with best practices for SEO and conversion.
Project Management:
- Organize and manage ongoing tasks through Monday.com
- Assist with new product introductions and launches
Sales Strategy Development:
- Develop a vision and strategy for profitable growth consistent with the long-range plans and strategy of the company.
- Analyze performance metrics and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
- Help with creation of presentations used internally and with retail partners.
- Create, execute, and track promotional strategies across product categories and retail partners.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and train a team of eCommerce specialists, providing guidance on best practices and performance improvement.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment.
- Create and manage SOP documentation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to align efforts and drive cohesive strategies.
- Work closely with supply chain management to ensure inventory levels meet demand.
- Identify operational performance concerns and work with necessary team members to create a Corrective Action Plan.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track sales performance, analyze key metrics, and prepare regular reports for upper management.
- Utilize analytics tools to measure effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
- Resolve complex order processing issues efficiently and effectively.
- Upper Rock Joint Venture:
- Manage operational tasks and overall compliance performance.
- Complete item setups and maintenance.
- Support and grow business relationships.
- Help to optimize workflows and processes.
- Resolve complex order processing issues efficiently and effectively.
- Identify new product assortments to fit within retailer assortments.
- Assist with product design and development.
- Assist with marketing advertising and strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Ecommerce, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
- 3-5 years of experience in ecommerce sales, online retail, or a similar role, with proven results in driving sales growth.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate sales strategies and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
- Negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors, partners, and affiliates.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing market conditions and technologies.
- Experienced with ecommerce platforms (Shopify is highly preferred, 3P Marketplaces)
- Experienced using project management tools (monday.com, Asana, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels (SEO, PPC, email marketing, affiliate marketing, social media).
- Proficiency in web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) to track, analyze, and improve online performance.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple campaigns and tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team, with a track record of coaching staff to reach their sales targets.
