Responsibilities

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert for the following: CANES, ADNS, CENTRIX-MME, SCI-N, SubLAN, ISNS
  • Provide OJT instruction on TACNET operations, maintenance, and repair.
  • Report design, reliability, and maintenance problems to program management.
  • Support new system installations, integrations, and upgrades.
  • Install, troubleshoot, maintains and repair products/equipment.
  • Establish testing protocols and standards, providing training and guidance to engineers and technicians.
  • Test interoperability of systems, measures transmission/outputs, troubleshoots and resolves issues, and maintains detailed evaluation and repair reports.
  • Provide innovative solutions to complex functional problems that impact function's success.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Navy Shipboard Networks to include CANES, or other TACNET systems.
  • Experience with t hree (3) of the following four (4) areas: Network Administration, System Administration, Technical Documentation, and Training.
  • Three (3) years of professional training experience in the training development environment.
  • Recognized expert who has demonstrated expertise in C4I Networks and System Administration.
  • Technical Training in TACNET, or other Navy C4I systems Administration and Maintenance.
  • Masters or Bachelors degree in Education, English, Psychology, or related training systems discipline.
  • Working towards Training Certification in Navys Basic Instructor Training (either NEC 805A or 9502) or a current industry standard trainer certification, such as Microsoft Certified Trainer
    (MCT) or CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+).
  • Cybersecurity Work Force (CSWF) qualified in 12 months.
  • Active Secret Clearance walking in the door.
