Position Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Logistics Broker with a well-established, transferable book of business to join our dynamic brokerage team. As a broker at Podium Logistics, you’ll leverage your industry connections, sales expertise, and drive to expand our customer base, maximizing revenue streams and enhancing the quality of service for which Podium is known. This role requires a self-motivated, proactive individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and a deep understanding of the logistics industry.

Key Responsibilities:


Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain and nurture an existing portfolio of clients while actively identifying and acquiring new business opportunities to support company growth.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor, understanding client needs and providing logistics solutions that meet and exceed expectations.
  • Communicate and negotiate with shippers, carriers, and other logistics providers to ensure timely, cost-effective solutions.


Revenue Growth and Sales Execution

  • Leverage your established book of business to generate consistent, predictable revenue.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to enhance account profitability and drive long-term partnerships.
  • Meet and exceed individual revenue targets while contributing to team sales objectives.


Market Analysis and Strategic Planning

  • Conduct regular market research to remain informed about industry trends, pricing, and competitive landscape.
  • Identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts and areas for expansion into new markets.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to optimize client strategies and maintain a competitive advantage.


Operational Excellence

  • Coordinate all logistics operations and transactions with an emphasis on safety, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as dispatch and carrier relations, to ensure seamless execution of shipments and resolve any issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of transactions, communications, and customer interactions in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a logistics broker or similar role within the transportation industry.
  • Proven track record of success with an existing, transferable book of business.
  • Deep understanding of logistics operations, pricing models, and industry regulations.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a results-driven approach to business development.
